County Materials Corp. donated 14 tons of concrete masonry units to this year’s masonry diploma course through the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Course instructor, Kevin Kroll requested the block from County Materials to give his students hands-on experience necessary for entrance into the masonry trade. After completion of the semester-long course, students are qualified to immediately begin brick and block laying on construction sites. In addition, the course covers job safety, along with layout, math, human relations, first aid and OSHA regulations.
