LUTEC LIGHTING

LUTEC is one of the world’s largest and most technically advanced lighting factories and most people will not be aware that we’ve been producing lighting products for over 40 years!  So, it is with justified confidence when we state that we have a wealth of experience to offer. Whilst being one of the largest suppliers of aluminum products to the lighting industry, people may also be surprised to learn that we supply finished LED lighting products to numerous international brands and our services include product development, design, tooling, production and assembly this is in addition to our own LUTEC branded range.

Quality and Certification – It may be obvious to say that “Customers want to buy with confidence” anyone can simply make the statement. The reality it is much harder to achieve, the fact that LUTEC was awarded “Best quality supplier for 2015/16 by one of the top 5 international brands is testament to our abilities. This quality ethos ensures we maintain the highest standards of manufacturing, testing and assembly. This is underpinned by the standards we maintain, including; ISO9001 – 2008, ISO14001, SA8000, QCO8000 ETC. Internationally approved testing authorities are used to certify our products and our rigorous testing and inspection (core to our ISO quality management) ensures performance. Customers really do want quality, especially in a market where policing is minimal.

Investment – This year alone LUTEC has invested over £1.5 million to update the LUTEC LED research laboratory. We all know lightingLUTEC 2 has become more technical so our policy of continuous re-investment combined with a solid financial base is critically important. Product development and exhaustive testing is expensive but it is a “must do” in order to grow the business responsibly. Technical development alone requires experienced engineers, hugely expensive equipment and not least a considerable amount of time but the benefits are numerous and this keeps us ahead of the market.

Facilities – The LUTEC factory now measures over 1.5 million square foot, of which 500,000 square foot is dedicated just to LED production including a fully automated SMT division. The testing lab has a vast range of LED test equipment to test LED products, including thermal imaging, Goniometers, multiple integrated spheres etc. in addition to all of the standard test equipment.

Design – I guess all of the above investments and effort would be pointless without having excellent product design. LUTEC products are created by some of the world’s leading lighting designers from the UK, France, Germany and Italy and in particualr the multi award winning “Design Pool” team. The current range serves a broad range of styles, designed to meet a variety of environments with inspiration drawn from traditional designs such as our “Unite range” or contemporary products like “Gemini” and “Focus” to the architecturally inspired Pilo and LEDSPOT range, it is also worth noting that LUTEC designs are owned by LUTEC and are design registered.

LUTEC 3Sales and Distribution – LUTEC have offices, warehousing and distribution in the UK, Italy, Germany, France and Spain, this is in addition to several other countries around the world. Providing us with the ability to offer excellent levels of service. We hold finished stock in each territory, which we can move swiftly from the point to another. Our aim is to provide customers with excellent levels of service, reducing out of stocks and long lead times.

In summary, i believe LUTEC is unique because we are in total control of our own business, we do not rely on external facilities and can manage projects from concept through to the final production, this gives us and our customers peace of mind and this is why we offer a 5-year guarantee on all LUTEC products.
