The property, near Siem Reap and a short distance from Cambodia’s Angkor Wat temple, takes its inspiration from the classical Khmer era. The 59-suite hotel has private terraces, an art collection, fine dining restaurant with a new outdoor space, a poolside grill and cocktail lounge.
The interiors are a collaboration between London’s GA Design and Cambodia-based Beyond Design and feature handwoven silks, traditional hardwood furnishing and locally produced iron details.
Featuring a new outdoor space, the hotel’s fine dining restaurant has reopened as Spice Circle, serving traditional Cambodian and Khmer cuisine along with pop-up tuk tuk food displays. For a more casual bite by the pool, Ember is now home to a pizza oven and show kitchen, allowing guests to watch the chefs at work. An indoor-outdoor cocktail and tapas bar, the Martini Lounge, offers organic Asian cuisine with a Latin twist.
